A burger and malt kinda place in Dinkytown near the University of Minnesota East Bank campus. Located on the 2nd floor, it's a classic in the neighborhood, patio dining available.

I'm not sure if I like the food as much as the atmosphere and the nostalgia of going back to my old 'hood at my old school. The couple times I've been here in the past couple years I have noticed that it's not as obnoxious as many other places on campus where one comes to realize just how young college students still are. Was I that obnoxious when I was in college? Anyway, Annie's seems more like the place where the students go with their parents or where the staff at the U go for lunch.

I've always hated this place. Used to go here often enough when I lived by the U of M. I -always- found the burgers to be sub-par, and usually wished I was at the jazz club one flor below it! Maybe I'm just biased against the stereotypical "old-fashioned" American burger. I think I got a chicken sandwhich here once that was really bad, too, but I don't remember well enough to review it officially. Fries are gross. Malts are good. And that's about all I have to say about that.

I use to go to Annies Parlor many many years ago. Today, I asked my husband if he would like to try it...so we drove for a VERY long time to get to Annies. Imagine my SHOCK when I arrived in my wheelchair, looking UP a MAJOR flight of stairs! My able bodied husband ran up the stairs to ask where the elevator was...THERE IS NO ELEVATOR! This is 2007 and IN MINNEAPOLIS and not accessible to people with disabilities? I talked to the manager and he could not have cared less that they discriminated against the disabled. What is next, no gays allowed? FYI, if you are disabled in any way, STAY AWAY FROM ANNIES PARLOR....THEY HATE PEOPLE WITH DISABILITIES!!!!
