This charming little neighborhood joint has a homey atmosphere and proprietors that really make you feel like they're your friends.
I went on Saturday, which was Self-Service Chili day. The chili, which came from the fridge and needed to be reheated, was quite good. I learned that the secret ingredient that gave it that somewhat fruity tang was coriander. My compliments to the chef! I had had this chili before, and I have to say that, much like a fine wine, it has only improved with age. It comes with plenty of crackers that totally hit the spot.
The complimentary Simpsons DVDs and company of two friendly cats (who have plenty of water) only added to its charm. There's nothing like a dash of home cooking to warm the soul on a summer's day. Bonn Apetit!

I am also a fan of Katie and Dave's, but it's an exclusive joint and dining is by invitation only. What a bunch of snobs!!

I love this place, but if you have pet allergies beware! I wish they would buy some hypoallergenic cats next time! The service was always good here, but the staff gets confused easily. Just speak slowly and clearly and you're sure to have a pleasant dining experience.
