I was extremely disappointed in this dish. I've gotten this at True Thai before and have always loved it. Sawatdee's version did not live up to my expectations. First, it's a soup, it's not worth $10.50. What a rip off. It is about that much at True Thai, but it's so much better there. Second, the menu reads, "oyster mushrooms", my senses detected no mushrooms. I didn't see any, didn't taste any. Maybe they were there, but if so, they must have been tiny or transparent or something. I love mushrooms. I didn't get any mushrooms. That makes me very unhappy. Third, it was not very flavorful. There was lemon grass and ginger in it, but I couldn't taste any of it. It tasted like a big bowl of coconut milk with occasional bits of chicken flavor.
I love this dish, but I'll stick to ordering it at other restaurants.
