"The Tea Garden first brought the Tea Bar concept to the Twin Cities in March of 2002 with its first location in Uptown, introducing many specialty teas to the area - among them Bubble Tea. Bubble Tea - a trendy drink from Asia - combines freshly brewed teas with a large variety of exotic natural fruit concentrates, shaken or blended, then served cold with delicious chewy tapioca pearls at the bottom. Pearls can be substituted with a variety of jellies (strawberry, mango, lychee, passion fruit, green apple, pineapple, coffee, tri-color, or crystal). Coolers, shakes, and tea lattes expand our drink menus - complimented by our selection of snacks, gourmet desserts, and sandwiches. Our large and growing selection of loose leaf teas guarantees to satisfy the most demanding and eclectic taste of traditional tea drinkers.
The Tea Garden has FREE wireless internet access, local art, and DJs or live musicians on the weekends evenings."

This is a great place to hang out. It gets a little crowded at times, but the crowd comes and goes so you can usually wait it out a bit.
I wish they had a better selection of food so I can grab a bite to eat while I'm working here for hours on end. Apparently, the soups come back in the fall.
The staff is usually pretty nice and helpful. Unfortunately, it's hard to ask questions about the vast selection of teas without holding up the line.
Note that you have to purchase 15 drinks to get one free rather than the regular 10.

Not a lot to eat - but this place is really about the tea. There's a house green or black tea that is then flavored with your choice of fruit concentrates (it's not exactly real fruit, but it's not exactly the gross fake syrup, either.) Always busy, always buzzing. Two locations, lots of choices, so if you are daring, you WILL find something you like there.

I love this place, more than most.
