I was not terribly impressed. First, the items presented were not all those listed on the menu as part of the combo. According to the menu there should have been two beef dishes, one lamb and one chicken. Maybe they mixed the two beef dishes together into one pile? I guess that's possible.
The other issue I had was that the chicken and the lamb were both on the bone. I'm accustomed to eating with my hands so that wasn't the issue. Even though, I was perfectly comfortable digging in with my fingers I still had a hard time. The meat was pretty fatty, even in the case of the chicken so it was quite tough to get off the bone and with the amount of sauce it would have been a pretty messy ordeal to go at it aggressively as I would have had to in order to get most of the meat off the bone.
The beef was definitely the best as it had no bones so it was much easier to just pick up with a bit of injera and pop it in my mouth. It was chewy and tough as well, but not too bad.
I'm not a big fan of daal (not sure what it's called, but essentially the same thing as Indian daal) so I shouldn't really comment on it. It's very rare that I find a daal that I like. It's just so plain.
The cheesy stuff that was in the middle (see photo) was pretty good, but if I remember correctly it was a little overpowering so I couldn't have too much.
Oh, and it was spicy! Not bad if you like spicy food, but if you don't, be warned.
Now that I think of it, I don't think we were given utensils so just be prepared to use your hands. Bring wetnaps 'cause it can get kinda messy.
